How do you feel?

Not sure?  Completely overwhelmed?  Numb?  It is such a huge question when flooded with emotions or feeling nothing at all.

There are a few common feelings I hear in my therapy room: sad, angry, tired, and numb.  I am convinced we have all experienced these emotions, along with countless others.  But the degree to which they affect us, the timing when they hit us, and the actions that they produce in us are often unique to each of us.  Emotions are natural and healthy.  However, the way we handle them, may not be healthy.

I want to create a space for you, your teen, your young adult, and/or your family to express your feelings in a safe environment, free of judgment.  I want to teach safe and healthy ways to express anger and frustration.  I want to give you the space to be tired and sad.  I want to help you overcome the frozen feeling anxiety brings to us. I want to help you understand what it is you feel and how to be more in control of how it affects you and your loved ones.

Emotions 101 Resource Tip: Emotions Activity
